welcome cub scouts
We are a wonderful group of K through 5th-grade boys and girls, primarily students from Pleasant Valley, Olive, and Lu Sutton Elementary.

Located in Novato, California, just 30 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Pack 85 has been serving the Novato community since 1965. Our Pack includes boys and girls from grades K-5. We always welcome new scouts and their families to join us!

What do we do?

Scouting is about fun, friends and adventure, while learning responsibility and leadership skills. This is through a mixture of Pack meetings (all the grades K-5), Den meetings (scouts in the same grade), and pack activities (usually on the weekend and open to the whole family).

The time commitment each month is typically:

- One Pack meeting (3rd Thursday of the Month from 6:30-7:30PM)

- One Den meeting (time and date varies for each den)

- At least one pack activity (usually on the weekend - see Typical Activites section below)

Please note that Pack and Den meetings are typically held from the end of August - May. We also schedule Pack activities in June, July and August.

Scouting for Food Success!

Each November, Pack 85 collects bags of food donated by Novato residents, to benefit the SF-Marin Food bank. Across Marin County, Cub and Boy Scouts were responsible for collecting over 54,000 pounds of donated food, a record number!

Service Project for Marin Humane!

Pack 85's Tiger Den (First Graders) completed a service project for Marin Humane, where they made fleece blankets for kittens. When they went to Marin Humane to donate the blankets, they were treated to a private tour and met a service dog and handler. Our scouts even got a mention on the Marin Humane website!
