PACK 85 WELCOMES YOU!
NOVATO CUB SCOUTS

We are a wonderful group of K through 5th-grade young scouts, boys and girls, primarily students from Pleasant Valley, Olive, and Lu Sutton Elementary.
Located in Novato, California, just 30 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge. Pack 85 has been serving the Novato community since 1965. We are a pack comprised of 7 dens with an average of 30 scouts. We always welcome new scouts and their families to join us!

What do we do?
Scouting is about fun, friends and adventure, while learning responsibility and leadership skills. We hold one pack meeting per month (all families), one den meeting per month for each school grade, and at least one pack activity, usually on the weekend.
Here are some of the great pack activities we've done:
-
Hikes
-
Tidepooling
-
Biking
-
Community service projects (litter cleanup, Scouting for Food)
-
Camping
-
Pinewood Derby race
-
Drive-in movies
-
Snow trip to the Sierras
-
Overnight at the Academy of Sciences
-
...And whatever else our leaders can come up with!

Scouting for Food Success!
In November 2021, Pack 85 collected bags of food donated by Novato residents, to benefit the SF-Marin Food bank. Across Marin County, Cub and Boy Scouts were responsible for collecting over 54,000 pounds of donated food, a record number!
Service Project for Marin Humane!
Pack 85's Tiger Den (First Graders) completed a service project for Marin Humane, where they made fleece blankets for kittens. When they went to Marin Humane to donate the blankets, they were treated to a private tour and met a service dog and handler. Our scouts even got a mention on the Marin Humane website!
